How to apply as a K-beauty real model from abroad
A practical guide for creators outside Korea: who can apply, how selection works, planning your trip, interpretation and what to prepare.
A ‘real model’ is a creator who collaborates with a clinic or beauty brand in Korea and documents the experience honestly on their own channels. BBO connects creators around the world with partner clinics and K-beauty brands — and you do not need to live in Korea to apply.
Who can apply?
Anyone aged 19 or over who runs at least one social media account — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Xiaohongshu, a blog and more — regardless of nationality. Follower count matters, but so do content quality, consistency and how well your profile fits a campaign.
How selection works
- Fill in the online application (available in 12 languages) and attach photos
- We review your social media and preferred categories
- Specialist consultation (in person or by video) for treatment campaigns, or a brand meeting
- Collaboration terms confirmed in writing — the campaign only proceeds with your agreement
- Visit, campaign and content
For any campaign involving a procedure, eligibility is always decided by a specialist consultation. Whether costs are supported, and how much, differs by campaign and is confirmed in writing when you are selected.
Planning a trip to Korea
- Tell us your possible travel dates on the form — campaigns are scheduled around them
- Flight and accommodation support depends on the campaign; never assume it is included
- Interpretation and coordination for overseas models are arranged depending on the partner
What to prepare
- A clear, unfiltered front-facing photo taken within the last 3 months
- Your main social media link and follower range
- The categories you are interested in — surgery, skin, or K-beauty such as skincare, nails, hair and spa
Being a real model is a collaboration, not a giveaway. Always disclose sponsored content clearly (for example #ad or #sponsored) according to the rules of your platform and country.
